After a long history in 1994, a group of enthusiasts led by independent bottler Murray MacDavid took over the distillery in 2001 and relaunched production with Jim McEwan, elected several times "distiller of the year". A Single Cask bottling of Bruichladdich distilled in 1986, bottled in 2005. 70cl/54.9%
