The distillery was established by Donald and Alexander Johnston in 1815, Subsequently, the distillery passed into the hands of the Royal Army, then British Whitbread among others and finally Suntory, In 1994, Prince of Wales, Charles of Wales, granted the "Royal Warrant" to the distillery. Distilled in 1969 and bottled at 19 years old, these ship label bottlings of Laphroaig are a classic Sestante series. This is one of 5 releases, the first of which was produced in 1985.
