CMONVIN > Bordeaux Château Cos d' Estournel 1996 1,750€VAT EXCL Contact Customer Service The estate was founded by Louis-Gaspard d'Estournel who inherited vineyards near the village of Cos in 1811. The dazzling success due to the quality of the wine allowed him to export from far away, especially to India, earning him the nickname Maharajah. In 1830, to celebrate this, he surmounted his cellars of Chinese pagodas, which would henceforth be the exotic image of Kos, and brought a seventeenth-century gate from Zanzibar.
