Since 2000 Louis-Michel Liger-Belair has been in charge of the domaine. This exceptional terroir produces among others the Romanée and this grand cru covers an area of 85 acres. It is the smallest wine-growing AOC in the world, located north of the parcel of Romanée-Conti. The Échezeaux is a particularly fine wine with intense aromas of red fruit and spices produced in the Échezeaux climate in Flagey-Échezeaux.
