CMONVIN > Whisky Brora 37 ENQUIRY Contact Customer Service ENQUIRY Originally founded in 1819 as Clynelish Distillery by Marquis of Stafford to create a market for his tenant farmers' grain, now know as Brora Distillery, it lies on the northern outskirts of the village of Brora on the Sutherland coast. Brora produced a heavily peated whisky to supply for blending, this was done to cover a shortage of Islay whisky caused by a drought in that region. Most of the whisky produced as Brora after 1973 is in the lightly peated Highland style. 70cl/ 50,4%
